They have an external layer of cuticle secreted by hypodermis. Although they lack body cavity, they possess a fluid-filled pseudocoel. Their nervous system is characterized by a rear nerve ring around the pharynx. Two pairs of nerve cords also run down the body. Roundworms have complete guts with separate mouths and anus.
